Caring for someone can be both rewarding and demanding for the carer and their loved one. For many it is a privilege, and it strengthens relationships. However, it can also be incredibly challenging at a time when people are at their most vulnerable.
Rosehaven offers a unique respite environment on 4.5 acres of established garden that is a haven on its own. We provide person-centred respite care, supported by friendly qualified staff enabling a “home away from home” experience.
Respite Services
We offer the following:
Day Respite
Monday to Friday 10 – 4pm or as negotiated.
Providing support and care for people to allow carers to have a short break; and, this can be as little as an hour to a whole day.
Rosehaven prides itself on person centred care, your welcome to have your pets come in with you, we can organise to get you to your appointments and /or you can have your person visit you here. We support your daily routines and adjust our day around our guests.
Overnight Respite
Monday to Friday, weekends by negotiation.
Rosehaven can tailor this to meet specific needs, with the option of a carer staying with them and being looked after also if required.
Respite is designed around our guests’ requests; it is important to maintain routine and ensure all needs are catered for, so if you have an appointment or would like a meal out, we will aim to cater your time with us around the activities that you find important.

Short Term Transitional Care
People requiring additional care between hospital and home may also find sanctuary to rest and recover at Rosehaven.
We can assist you to regain confidence to return to your own home. Your GP and allied health professionals are welcome to visit you while you are our guest – we will work with you to achieve the best outcome for you.
Respite Weekend Accommodation
Rosehaven can be a place where you and your family come and enjoy all that Mansfield has to offer.
As a family or friends of someone with a life limiting illness or disability, you may find searching for appropriate accommodation a challenge.
Rosehaven can provide you with a purpose-built facility, a home away from home, designed with full disabled access in mind. We can provide equipment as required to suit your needs.
Bring your carer, your family, or even your own nurse, and have Rosehaven as a base to explore the many sites that Mansfield has to offer or just enjoy having time away from home. Weekends subject to availability.
We can provide respite services under Aged Care Package funding, NDIS package funding or they can be arranged by private payment.
Referrals by individuals, carers, or health care professionals are accepted.
